As anyone who saw the press conference that the Coalition held a few months back knows, I'm a (soon to be) 32 year old man with spina bifida who uses the bus for all travel except in medical emergencies.

When we invest in public transit, not only can we move around our cities more easily, but study after study has shown that property values also increase.

What is ‘good’ bus service?  There are several measures which gauge the effectiveness and quality of bus service.  

In short, a bus route is ranked based on how much access the line provides its riders, how much mobility it gives the communities it runs through, and how useful the service is to its potential riders.
